Des résultats surprenants pour la banque espagnole BBVA en dépit d’une conjoncture défavorable et de fortes variations des taux de change.
Malgré des difficultés au Mexique et plus généralement en Amérique Latine, BBVA affiche des trimestriels meilleurs que prévus. L’espagnol Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria affiche une hausse surprenante de 5,1% de son bénéfice net sur neuf mois.
En effet, avec la dépréciation des monnaies en Amérique Latine et notamment avec une chute de 26% du peso mexicain contre l’Euro ces derniers mois, on pouvait craindre le pire. BBVA voit en effet son résultat diminuer de 3,3% sur cette zone, mais grâce à de très bons résultats sur le marché domestique, ces contre-performances sont en partie gommées. Le sort du géant espagnol reste cependant lié aux fluctuations des marchés d’Amérique Latine. On suivra donc de près l’évolution et les perspectives de croissance dans ces pays, et notamment au Mexique où BBVA contrôle l’un des plus important établissement bancaire du pays, la Bancomer.
